About Me
From Bedside to Global Resource: My Commitment to Your Growth
My name is Hasse Bjork, and my journey in nursing began in 1995. Since 2011, I've had the privilege of dedicating my expertise specifically to the field of dialysis, working in five different cities and witnessing the incredible advancements – and ongoing challenges – our patients and colleagues face.
Throughout these years, a consistent practice of mine was to diligently collect research articles related to hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. I quickly realized that while the research was invaluable, the sheer volume and complexity made it difficult for busy professionals to keep pace.
The Evolution of DialysisFocus.com
What started as a personal endeavor to synthesize this information evolved organically. A simple idea of creating a newsletter to share "what's happening in research" grew into a passion project, reaching colleagues across my country and, eventually, around the world.
Recognizing the power of technology to bridge the knowledge gap, I began exploring how AI could assist in summarizing these articles efficiently. This innovation allowed me to transform dense academic papers into concise, easy-to-understand summaries. The next natural step was to bring these summaries to life through podcasts – making vital information accessible during commutes, breaks, or any time convenient for you.
Why DialysisFocus.com?
DialysisFocus.com is the culmination of this evolution. It's a platform born out of a deep commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the dialysis community. I've invested my spare time and personal resources to build and maintain this website, driven by the belief that every nurse, technician, physician, and student deserves easy access to the latest evidence-based insights.
Every week, I personally dedicate hours to meticulously finding and selecting suitable and educational articles. These articles are then processed using AI to create the informative podcasts you find here. With over 100 different podcasts currently available on a wide array of subtopics in both hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, my goal is to provide a valuable, ongoing resource for your personal and professional growth.
Why This Matters
Dialysis is a field where innovation saves lives. Yet, staying updated on research can feel overwhelming. My mission is to distill cutting-edge science into actionable knowledge, empowering you to improve patient care. Every podcast, article, and update is crafted with two goals: to educate and to inspire .
